Brides and grooms learn about Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen in a number of ways. Some see the company on a preferred vendors list, some are referred to the company by friends and family of the clients, and some learn about the company from brides and grooms that hired Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen to help them with their own wedding. One day Kathleen got a call from Catherine, a bride who was planning her wedding which was scheduled to take place almost exactly one year after the phone call. Catherine said she had learned about Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen from her future sister-in-law, Kathleen V. Kathleen V. had previously been a bridesmaid in a wedding coordinated by Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen and was impressed by what she had seen.
After talking on the phone Catherine and her fiancé, Xan, decided to hire Kathleen Wolf to help with planning their wedding. They had chosen the venue and a few vendors. Catherine was hoping to get some recommendations for other vendors, suggestions about décor, and overall advice on how to make her and Xan’s day as wonderful as possible. Kathleen was glad to help!
Kathleen and Catherine got right to work. Throughout the year, Catherine and Kathleen consistently communicated over the phone and through e-mail. Catherine would send things to Kathleen to look over before making any final decisions. Kathleen would listen to Catherine’s vision and then make suggestions. For example, Catherine had a vision that was different than most couples Kathleen had worked with in the past. Neither Catherine nor Xan really enjoyed dancing. Catherine said she did not want dancing to be a big focus of their wedding. Instead, the couple loved playing games and wanted to incorporate their love of games into their wedding.
The wedding month came and everything was pretty much ready to go. The ceremony was going to be held at a Catholic church in Washington DC. The reception was to take place at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. The reception would include a scavenger hunt, giant jenga and board games that could be played throughout the night.
The wedding day came and went exactly as planned. Kathleen’s assistant, Danielle, went to the church and Kathleen headed straight to Fort Belvoir for the reception. As Kathleen was putting the finishing touches around the reception site, Danielle signaled the bridal party into the ceremony. The ceremony was gorgeous and Danielle enjoyed watching Catherine and Xan become husband and wife. Soon after the ceremony ended, the guests made their way to Fort Belvoir for the reception. As the guests began to arrive everything was all set to go. Catherine an Xan both loved playing games and decided to have a game theme for their receptions. Guests picked up scavenger hunt information and as the entered the cocktail hour area and began playing. Kathleen overhead many guests laughing as they learned things about the couple they never knew.
The guests continued to enjoy themselves throughout the rest of the night. Whether they were playing giant Jenga, playing a board game, dancing, or enjoying the outside patio, everyone had a smile on their face throughout the entire night. No smiles were bigger, though, than the ones that belonged to Catherine and Xan. When the final bus came to pick up the last remaining guests, the DJ had to make multiple announcements to get everyone to make their way to the bus. The guests were having such a good time and did not want to leave. Kathleen and Danielle were so glad to be part of another successful wedding with such an awesome couple!
