Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen’s first official wedding was a fall wedding at the beautiful venue Stone Manor Country Club. The representative for the venue, Brian Childs, was very impressed by Kathleen. He was very surprised to hear that this was the first wedding for this company. He said it seemed like Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen had been in business for years. After working with Kathleen, Brian decided he had to have Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen as one of the preferred vendors for Stone Manor.
For the next few years, brides and grooms contacted Kathleen to help them with their wedding at Stone Manor. Brian always expressed how happy he was to have Kathleen in charge of the big day. Throughout the time Kathleen was helping with weddings at Stone Manor, the owners of the venue had been working to open a second venue, Springfield Manor. When the time came to open the new venue, the owners asked Brian to create a new preferred vendors list. They wanted this vendors list to be even more selective than the list for Stone Manor. Brian had to choose the top vendors from who he already considered to be the best in the area. Kathleen was so honored when Brian told her that he had chosen Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen to be one of the vendors on Springfield Manor’s preferred vendors list.
Soon after Springfield Manor opened their doors, Lindsey and Ryan decided to book a fall wedding at this new venue. Lindsey wanted to do all of the planning herself but then wanted to be able to enjoy herself on the wedding day. She also wanted her friends and family to enjoy themselves and not worry about a thing. She contacted Kathleen and decided to hire Wolf’s Weddings by Kathleen to help make her wedding day dreams become a reality.
While originally from Maryland, Lindsey and Ryan moved to New York in the middle of the wedding planning process. Therefore, she asked Kathleen if they could meet over the phone instead of in person to go over the wedding day details. Kathleen was of course happy to oblige. Lindsey discussed all of the wedding decisions she had made. Kathleen made a few suggestions based on her past experiences. While originally Lindsey said she would like to hear suggestions but she didn’t think she would make any alterations, the bride to be decided to follow almost every piece of advice Kathleen gave her (which she later told Kathleen was one of the best things she did).
When the wedding weekend arrived Kathleen met Lindsey, Ryan and Lindsey’s parents at Springfield Manor. Lindsey and Ryan were not having a rehearsal at the wedding venue but were happy to have the chance to walk the grounds with Kathleen. Kathleen loved getting to meet in person with the bride she had only spoken to through the phone and e-mail. Lindsey, Ryan and Lindsey’s parents were all so much fun to be around. Kathleen knew it was going to be a great wedding!
The wedding day came and Kathleen and Danielle arrived at the venue. They set everything up following Lindsey’s vision. It was a very windy day so Kathleen and Danielle had to get creative about how to place some of the ceremony decorations. The ceremony was outside and, if placed as originally planned, many things would have blown away. Kathleen and Danielle found a way to secure all of the items in the locations Lindsey wanted without a single thing blowing away or getting knocked over.
When it was time for the ceremony to begin, the bridal party started to line up. In addition to being windy, it was a little chilly outside. Kathleen and Danielle had directed guests to a place they could wait inside if they wanted before the ceremony began. As Kathleen lined the bridal party up, Danielle helped the guests make their way to their seats. Once all the guests were seated the procession began. Ryan’s thumbs up as he walked down the aisle was the perfect way to capture the way everyone was feeling.
Once the ceremony finished the guests made their way inside to the cocktail hour. Many guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and how delicious all of the food tasted. Right on time Kathleen and Danielle asked the guests to make their way into the ballroom for the reception. The bridal party was then announced and, after doing dance moves that everyone loved, they each made their way to their seats. Just as Kathleen had thought, the evening was already a lot of fun. After the first dance and the first course of food was served, the room boomed in laughter as the maid of honors, best man and father of the bride gave their toasts.
The evening continued on without a hitch. People were dancing, taking pictures in the photo booth, and smoking cigars in the cigar house. Then Kathleen was made aware of something. The bar had run out of wine. While there was still beer and liquor, this crowd preferred to drink wine. Lindsey and Ryan had bought their own wine from a local liquor store. The store had recommended how much to purchase and Lindsey and Ryan went with those recommendations. Lindsey heard what was happening and ran up to Kathleen in a panic. Kathleen calmed Lindsey down and got on the phone. Soon a plan was in place and, not much longer, more wine arrived. Kathleen could tell that, while Lindsey had calmed down, her and Ryan were still very angry at the liquor store for their inaccurate recommendations. Kathleen was so unhappy to see this. She did not want to let anything ruin their evening! She told them that everything was okay now and that they should enjoy their evening. They were having a hard time letting go of what had happened. Kathleen quickly talked them through what to do after the wedding and said she would talk to them more and help them with dealing with the store after the wedding. Kathleen continued by saying that at that moment they should get back on the dance floor and have fun. Luckily Kathleen got through to them.
The rest of the night continued as smoothly as it had begun. While there was a hiccup in middle of the evening, none of the guests seemed to be upset. With Kathleen’s help, Lindsey and Ryan were able to go back to spending time with their friends and family. Kathleen and Danielle commented to each other many times throughout the evening what a great time everyone was having! Lindsey and Ryan, with their friends and family, knew how to throw a fun party for all!
